A Celebration of Life after Cancer was established in 1999 to promote awareness of cancer,to raise money for local cancer support groups and to celebrate life after cancer.

By the end of 2004 they had raised over £150,000 -
most of which has been distributed to cancer charities and organisations in the area to provide special equipment or promotional material to help them reach out to cancer patients and their carers.
